our specialty

The Cold Water team has been installing dock systems for over 40 years, and continues to innovate products to accommodate all of our customer’s needs. We specialize in creating the perfect dock systems for commercial or residential applications.

Our marine grade aluminum docking systems are built to last a lifetime and come with a 15-year warranty. As all of our products are made out of aluminum, finished with stainless steel hardware and polyester ThruFlow decking, nothing will rust, rot or corrode when exposed to fresh or salt water. With our dock systems being made out of an aluminum frame and finished with a polyester decking, they are very light weight making them very easy to take in and out of the water.

When considering a dock system you must first consider if you want to go with a Roll-in Dock System or a Floating Dock System.

Choosing a ramp

After choosing what system is best for you, whether it be floating or roll-in, you must consider a ramp, dock section sizes and dock system configuration in order to build the ideal dock system.

ramps

A ramp is highly recommended for any dock system as it provides a smooth transition
from different elevations. Typically a ramp will join the start of the dock system to the
shoreline. Our ramps can be bolted to any type of shoreline platform, wharfs or can sit
on the ground.

Our available ramp sizes:
4’x8’     6’x8’     8’x8’
4’x12’   6’x12’   8’12’
4’x16’   6’x16’   8’x16’
4’x20’   6’x20’   8’x20’

docks sections

We stock a wide variety of dock section sizes. In order to access deeper water we
recommend starting with longer narrower pieces and then ending with wider pieces to
create a bigger platform at the end of the dock system. All of our dock sections can be
connected to the ends or sides of previous sections to create unique designs.

roll-in docks

Our roll-in , roll-out docks are ideal for lakes. The docks are supported by wheel-kits
which makes them 100% stable and very easy to take in and out of the water. The
wheels stay on the docks all year long. Each section of dock is equipped with 2 wheel-
kits that fill up with water and are self-anchoring when wheeled into the water. Each
wheel kit is independently adjustable using a drill or a wrench from the top deck which
allows you to perfectly level your dock and easily adjust it when the water levels change
without getting in the water. Our various wheel kit sizes allow us to install this system in
water depths ranging from 0 to 12ft. Our roll-in system is the most stable and user-
friendly dock on the market.

floating docks

Our floating dock systems are ideal for deep water and constantly changing water levels such as the ocean’s tides. They are still made out of our lightweight aluminum frames
which makes them much easier to take in and out of the water than wooden docks. Our
floating docks are ideal for ocean applications as they are built to withstand rough
weather. When considering a floating dock system, a permanent wharf or a shoreline
platform is recommended to attach the dock system to. A Floating dock needs
something fixed to attach to. We build those as well! Visit our “wharfs” page for more
details. Our roll-in dock system can also be installed to create a fixed dock to attach a
floating dock to. This combination of roll-in and floating dock system is ideal for
locations where the water levels fluctuate often or drop off very quickly.

Our dock systems are 100% modular. They can be connected in any way possible
simply by moving the connector brackets around. Combine any of our ramp sizes to any
of our dock sizes to create the perfect dock system that accommodates your needs.
